Eternity in our hearts

"Poll: Most in US Reject Moral Absolutes", but such statistics tell only a little part of the whole story...

"For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made..." ~ Romans 1:19-20a

Dear Ian, we are BUSY taking care of the baby 24-7. Parenthood is certainly a package of joys and challenges. Penny's growing very well--praise the Lord for that! She's a chubby baby, a big-sized 3.5 month old. She's a rather good baby, of a cheerful and quiet disposition, except when she's left alone for longer than 3-5 minutes (?), tired, hungry... or simply gassy and experiencing tummy pains. We're praying each day for God to help her disgestive system to mature well so that she will be less bothered by gas. Anti-flatulent drops help some. You know I never thought so much about normal bodily functions like sleeping and burping and expelling waste until baby came along :) Well, the Lord is our strength each day, and we're hoping she'll outgrow her gassiness soon. I think I see some small improvements...

Hope that all is well with you and Vicky. Both of you should be starting a new semester soon? Enjoy your reading, dates out together, sleep, and ruminations by the lake... they shall all have to take a temporary backseat once God blesses you with a baby. I do miss work at the office--mostly the surfing and reading :) and oh yes, the satisfaction of being able to clear photocopier jams. Hope the copier's been behaving lately.

OK, gotta catch some sleep soon before Penny wakes for a night feed. Did we tell you about babypenny.blogspot.com?

God bless too, and warmest regards to Vicky! - Elaine

hey ian, coming to think about it, we haven't seen you at Jarvis on Sundays too. Are you away? Or just attending your own church's services? We're at Jarvis for the morning services each Sunday. Maybe we'll see you soon.
